Good Morning
Me sitting here in the morning chill
You’re laying there in bed still
Gulping coffee I start to compose
A little “good morning” prose
Just a few words to start your day
Hoping happiness will come your way
And so another day begins
Hope its full of laughter and full of grins
Sun is shining and is warming
So I say to you, “Good morning”

this is an amazing poem-sweet and simple. I often write complicated poems but i feel as if poem such as this gives you a kind of different pleasure. so well,i have really really and really appreciated your this ‘good morning’ poem as it is enough to bring a great smile on someone’s sad face!

thank you for your comments. i see so many dark melancholy poems and it is saddening that so many people (apparently) are in such a depressing state. i prefer to focus on goodness although i do inject some darkness for contrast. the key is to invoke an emotional response from the reader and try to put them in the poem.
