Oh, how the world of man has changed,
Oh, and, how it has not,
Gadgets many, of varied range,
Yet still, we use a pot,
Electronic appendages sprout from human form,
Our need for social interaction, quite apparent,
Synthetic fibers woven, just to keep us warm,
Need for food and comfort, still, inherent,
So much technology for so many things,
Yet still, we need to eat,
I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings,
Because to walk I still need my feet,
Things we use come and go,
But our immutable nature long ago begun,
Has not left us, often to our woe,
Truly, there is nothing new under the sun.
